Course aims
This 1 day online course, delivered by NCA CEOP Education, will give participants an understanding of online child sexual abuse, including adult offending and child on child abuse
It will also enable participants to identify key strategies they can use within their setting to ensure online child sexual abuse is included as part of a whole-organisation approach to safeguarding and protecting children and young people.
The training will cover:
- research on the scale, prevalence and motivations of adult offending behaviour
- research on the scale, prevalence and factors that influence child on child online sexual abuse
- research on the impact of online sexual abuse for a child or young person
- how education strategies can help to prevent online child sexual abuse
- how to support children and young people through disclosures and discoveries of online child sexual abuse
Who is it for?
This course is aimed at professionals working in an education setting in the UK. This includes, but is not limited to schools, colleges, out of school settings, youth organisations or charities delivering education to children and young people.
If you are a professional working in a non-education setting, for example health or social care, the Marie Collins Path to Protection training may be more suitable for you.

Requirements and eligibility
IMPORTANT: Please read the following carefully before booking:
- you must work in a UK based organisation that works directly with children and young people, their families or professionals who work with them.
- you are expected to have approval from your organisation and budget holder prior to booking on the course.
- you must only submit a booking for one course date. Any duplicate requests will be cancelled.
- you must submit correct billing details including PO number. Failure to provide correct details will mean your place cannot be confirmed on the course.
- you must be able to access Zoom (view Zoom's privacy notice) and have a working camera and microphone to fully participate in the course.
Once your place has been confirmed, you will receive a confirmation email. Joining instructions, including a pre-course questionnaire, will be sent on the week of the course.
Cancellation and refund policy
If you wish to cancel your booking or are unable to attend, please inform us by email (ceopeducation@nca.gov.uk) or cancel via your account.
Cancellations received less than 14 calendar days prior to the training date will be subject to the full participant fee of £150, which will also be charged for non-attendance.
We do not offer refunds for this course. However, subject to availability, participants who are unable to attend may be able to transfer their booking to an alternative date.

CEOP Education Training Booking Terms and Conditions
1. Registering for training
1.1. In order to register as a participant for CEOP Education training, you must work in an organisation that works directly with children and young people, their families or professionals who work with them.
1.2. You can register for training by submitting a training booking form available through on our website: https://www.ceopeducation.co.uk/professionals/training.
1.3. When completing the booking form, you must provide us with accurate and complete information including billing details and PO number.
1.4. You are expected to have approval from your organisation and budget holder prior to registering.
1.5. It is your responsibility to inform us of any changes to your information by emailing ceopeducation@nca.gov.uk. If incorrect details are provided, we cannot confirm your booking.
2. Confirmation of your booking
2.1. Your training booking is subject to availability and will be approved by us. If your booking is accepted, we will issue a confirmation email confirming the timings and location (if applicable) within 3 working days. Joining instructions and a pre-training questionnaire will be sent on the week of the training.
2.2. Upon the issuing of the above confirmation email, these terms (including cancellation policy) will apply to your booking.
3. Payment
3.1. It is your responsibility to submit correct billing details including a valid PO number. If your organisation does not operate a PO system, please indicate this on your booking form.
3.2. Invoices will be processed approximately 14 calendar days before the training date.
3.3. Payment is due 30 days from the date of the invoice.
4. Cancellations and refunds
4.1. If you decide to cancel your booking or are unable to attend, you must inform us by email (ceopeducation@nca.gov.uk) or via your account.
4.2. You will be able to cancel your booking up to 14 calendar days before the course date.

4.5. If you are unable to attend, subject to availability, you may be able to transfer your booking to an alternative date.
5. Feedback
5.1. By making a booking, you consent to be contacted by us to request feedback about our training and/or your experience.
5.2. If you provide any feedback about the training via electronic survey, the data collected will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
6. Virtual training
6.1. You will need to be able to access Zoom and agree to the Zoom Privacy Notice (https://explore.zoom.us/en/privacy) in order to attend virtual training.
6.2. You must have a working camera and microphone to fully participate during the session.
6.3. No confidential or sensitive information should be shared during the session.
