Course aims
This CEOP Education Ambassador training aims to provide education professionals with the knowledge, skills and resources to become the lead within their organisation for training and information relating to online child sexual abuse.
This includes supporting their setting and networks to integrate online child sexual abuse into a whole-organisation approach to safeguarding.
This training provides an in-depth look at:
- NCA-CEOP Education and our education values.
- The role and expectations of a CEOP Education Ambassador.
- A reminder about how to integrate online child sexual abuse into a whole-organisational approach to safeguarding.
- How to use NCA-CEOP Education resources effectively with children and young people.
- How to deliver effective training for staff and volunteers using the CEOP Education Ambassador training resources.
- How to engage with parents and carers.
- How to embed good practice when responding to disclosures and discoveries (including recommended resources and engaging with Safeguarding Leads).
On completion of this training, you will become a CEOP Education Ambassador.

Course requirements and eligibility
In order to train as a CEOP Education Ambassador, you must:
- Meet the membership requirements. You can check your eligibility by reading the CEOP Education Ambassador Role Profile.
- Work at or with a UK based education organisation delivering to children and young people based in the UK. For example, schools, colleges, out of school settings.
- Have first attended our Understanding Online Child Sexual Abuse training.
- Have approval from your organisation and budget holder prior to booking on the course.
- Only submit a booking for one course date. Any duplicate requests will be cancelled.
- Submit correct billing details, including PO number. Failure to provide correct details will mean your place cannot be confirmed on the course.
- Be able to access Zoom (view Zoom’s privacy notice) and have a working camera and microphone to fully participate in the course.
Once your place has been confirmed, you will receive a confirmation email.
Confirmation of your place can take up to 5 working days.
Please note, to attend this training, you will be asked to send a picture of your ID to CEOP Education. This includes your passport or driving license (full or provisional). You will be contacted with more information when your place is confirmed. Joining instructions will be sent the week of the training date.

Cancellation and refund policy
If you wish to cancel your booking or are unable to attend, please inform us by email (ceopeducation@nca.gov.uk) or cancel via your account.
Cancellations received less than 14 calendar days prior to the training date will be subject to the full participant fee of £150, which will also be charged for non-attendance.
We do not offer refunds for this training. However, subject to availability, participants who are unable to attend may be able to transfer their booking to an alternative date.
Please note, there is no waiting list for this course. Places will be offered on a first-come-first-served basis. Booking will be closed once the training course is full.
CEOP Education Training Booking Terms and Conditions
1. Registering for training
1.1. In order to register as a participant for CEOP Education training, you must work in an organisation that works directly with children and young people, their families or professionals who work with them.
1.2. You can register for training by submitting a training booking form available through on our website: https://www.ceopeducation.co.uk/professionals/training.
1.3. When completing the booking form, you must provide us with accurate and complete information including billing details and PO number.
1.4. You are expected to have approval from your organisation and budget holder prior to registering.
1.5. It is your responsibility to inform us of any changes to your information by emailing ceopeducation@nca.gov.uk. If incorrect details are provided, we cannot confirm your booking.
1.6. On completion of your CEOP Education Ambassador training, the NCA will perform periodic checks against the Police National Database. This helps us mitigate the risk of any Ambassador having engaged in or being at risk of engaging in child sexual abuse related activity. We will use the personal data you provide when booking the training to do this. By booking the training, you give your consent for us to perform these checks. 2. Confirmation of your booking
2.1. Your training booking is subject to availability and will be approved by us. If your booking is accepted, we will issue a confirmation email confirming the timings and location (if applicable) within 3 working days. Joining instructions and a pre-training questionnaire will be sent on the week of the training.
2.2. Upon the issuing of the above confirmation email, these terms (including cancellation policy) will apply to your booking.
2.3. For security purposes, we have to verify the identify of everyone who attends the CEOP Education Ambassador training. Therefore, you will be required to send a copy of your government-issued photo ID to CEOP Education prior to attending the course so we can verify you on the day of the training. You will be contacted with instructions on how to do this after your booking has been approved. Please do not send your ID before you have recieved instructions from us.
3. Payment
3.1. It is your responsibility to submit correct billing details including a valid PO number. If your organisation does not operate a PO system, please indicate this on your booking form.
3.2. Invoices will be processed approximately 14 calendar days before the training date.
3.3. Payment is due 30 days from the date of the invoice.
4. Cancellations and refunds
4.1. If you decide to cancel your booking or are unable to attend, you must inform us by email (ceopeducation@nca.gov.uk) or via your account.
4.2. You will be able to cancel your booking up to 14 calendar days before the course date.
4.3. Cancellations received less than 14 calendar days prior to the training date will be subject to the full participant fee of £150, which will also be charged for non-attendance.
4.4. We do not offer refunds for training bookings.
4.5. If you are unable to attend, subject to availability, you may be able to transfer your booking to an alternative date.
5. Feedback
5.1. By making a booking, you consent to be contacted by us to request feedback about our training and/or your experience.
5.2. If you provide any feedback about the training via electronic survey, the data collected will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
6. Virtual training
6.1. You will need to be able to access Zoom and agree to the Zoom Privacy Notice (https://explore.zoom.us/en/privacy) in order to attend virtual training.
6.2. You must have a working camera and microphone to fully participate during the session.
6.3. No confidential or sensitive information should be shared during the session.
